The Five Failures that Made Us Millions

Failure #1: Failing on our first course launch.

Yep. Our first course launch tanked. Zero sales, my friend. NADA! 

Here’s where we messed up: we created something our peeps didn’t need. The lesson? 

VALIDATE. Ask them what they want before you create it. Even better, pre-sell it first. It’s a great way to guarantee you’re on the right track.

Failure #2: Trying to help EVERYONE with The Screw U. 

When we launched The Screw U, we were so stoked because we’d found an offer that could help ANYONE. 

Yeah… you see where this is going right? Our audience was hella confused about who it was actually for. Face, meet palm. 

The lesson: when you haven’t narrowed down who you serve, it dilutes your message and makes it harder to figure out what they need. 

Find your people, get clear on your message, then bring solutions that are exactly what they need.

Failure # 3: Ignoring the psychology of business. 

If you’ve ever believed that the only thing you need is a wicked strategy to grow your business… you’re not alone. 

You’re also missing a KEY part of making this whole entrepreneurship thing work (trust me, we’ve been there.) 

Here’s the truth: you can have the best marketing strategy in the world, but if you keep thinking negative shit that doesn’t line up with where you want to go, you’re not going to move forward. 

The lesson? Identify your limiting beliefs and let them go. Having a growth mindset makes growth decisions more automatic.

Failure #4: We both tried to make decisions in the business. 

Yikes. This one was ROUGH! 

We know it’s hard (especially if you’re in business with a partner), but your business needs ONE decision maker. 

Discuss ideas and points of view, then let the final decision rest on ONE of you (trust us, you’ll be glad you did). 

Failure #5: Feeling too scared to spend and “lose” money to scale. 

Afraid to spend money on ads? Worried you’re going to be “wasting” your hard earned dollar by investing in a program? 

Been there, done that. But here’s the truth: 

If you want to scale your business, you’ve got to invest in it. Remember those limiting beliefs we just chatted about? 

Find the ones around money and let ‘em go. You’ll be SO glad you did.
