Iconosquare is used in three areas- analytics, monitoring, and publishing:
Publishing and content management
There’s two sections; The media library for storing content, and a section where you manage posts.
You can upload from your device or import it from Onedrive or Dropbox and add labels, hashtags and captions.
The Scheduler is a calendar with time slots, which handles posts and stories. This content can then be automatically posted as Iconosquare is an approved tool.
There's a preview option within the scheduler, so you can see in advance how the feed looks.
Analysis and assessment
In the analytics tab you can find info on status, growth, reach and a lot of other properties of your profile. You can view analytics from timeframes you’ve chosen.
The ‘Overview’ section gives you a comprehensive report of your profile. The number of followers, impressions, engagement rate, follower growth, etc.
It shows your recent posts and the engagement. There are lots of options when it comes to sorting your data.
The ‘Community’ section shows you the demographics of your audience.
The ‘Reach’ section shows you the penetration of your posts and when your followers have been most active.
The dashboard is fully customizable, so you can display things just how you want them.
Monitoring
You can analyze various trends in your industry, understand the performance of multiple hashtags, etc.
The ‘Profile activity’ section gives you more information about the views and clicks you receive.
The ‘Stories’ section shows you which stories are getting the most traction.
‘Mentions’ will tell you how relevant you‘re on the platform. It shows data for every time someone has mentioned your profile on Instagram.
You can compare mentions in comments, captions, and tags. You’ll get actual numbers, as well as comparative data.
‘Industry Benchmarks’ tracks your performance against the average performance of your industry.
‘Hashtags’ lets you research hashtags you’re interested in.
Comparisons
You can track your competition and get an overview of all of them. You can see which hashtags they’re using and which content is performing for them.
Managing conversations
The only way to chat with another user is using direct messages on the mobile app.
You can also interact via comments and through stories.
Iconosquare lets you manage these conversations, and gives you tools which will help you take care of large volumes of comments.
You can read your comments in the ‘Conversations’ tab. You can then reply right there and then mark the comments as read.
You can also display comments for a specific post. These can be exported.

Iconosquare lets you add other users on the account, depending on your subscription plan.
Roles of these users can be assigned and you can decide what they can have access to.
