Review of: Monday

Value for Money

3/5

There’s no free tier. If you have a big team the costs can mount up. At $39 for the lowest package, which doesn’t have all the functions, it is reasonably expensive.

Support

5/5

Amazing customer support. Video tutorials, community forums, FAQs, extensive knowledge base, tickets, email, live chat, phone support, daily webinars, live Q&As & a dedicated customer success manager at Enterprise level

Ease of Use

4.5/5

It's extremely easy to use. If you’ve never used a similar tool there are plenty  of resources to get you started and support you step by step.

Effectiveness

4/5

Many great features. Some of them aren’t available in the basic plan; sharing boards with guests, private boards, timeline. Would be great if some more of these features could be added to the basic plan.

We Like

  • Well designed, attractive interface
  • Simple & easy to use
  • Useful project visualization tools
  • Lots of integrations
  • Excellent tutorial and onboarding
  • Light collaboration and scheduling tools
  • Utilizes color and placement to help manage a team at a glance

We Don't Like

  • For large teams it’s expensive
  • File storage & activity log limits on lower tiers
  • Lacking advanced task tracking features
  • Weak project and task management tools
  • Incomplete Android support
  • No calendar or timeline views on basic tier
  • Interface can appear too cluttered when there are lots of users, comments and boards

Resource management

The pulse system allows you to create custom boards to track the resources needed for each project.

Document storage

Store relevant project documents, images, spreadsheets, or any other related materials within each task.

Communication

Task comments and message boards to help team communication. Functions include file upload buttons, GIFs, and “@” mentions.

File sharing

All files are stored within each task. Everyone who is added to the project board will get notifications when new files added to each task.

Team dashboards

Dashboards can be created for any project or user with multiple types of widgets. These include project calendars, project timelines, task progress and custom number columns.

Budget dashboards

Everything is managed within a board. These can be color-coded, so you can see each team member progress on any task.

Pulses for organized communication

All communication happens within a board. Users can send messages to specific people or the entire team. Notifications take place in real time via the desktop and mobile apps.

Visual organization

With meaningful colors and board placement, you can check the project progress and the team member's contribution. This helps to ensure that all deadlines are met and that new projects are properly delegated/assigned.
